[News] Barefoot Friends Leaves for Indonesia

The SBS program Barefoot Friends has chosen Indonesia as its next destination. According to an announcement made by an SBS official on April 25, the production staff will stay in Indonesia for five days and four nights to shoot the program.

The cast consists of eight members: Kang Ho Dong, Yoon Jong Shin, Kim Bum Soo, Yoo Se Yoon, Kim Hyun Joong, Yoon Si Yoon, Eun Hyuk (Super Junior), and Uee (After School). The first episode aired on April 21. In it the members arrived in Vietnam and carried out their mission, which was to live as if they were local residents.

Barefoot Friends is a reality show in which the goal is to build relationships with local people while traveling in domestic and foreign locations. The show airs at 4:55 p.m. every Sunday.

There's A concern about this album that when it's released, you are going to be concussed after falling by shock. The release...I can't tell you now^^ So when it's released, I want to ask you to listen to it a lot and promote it. ㅋㅋㅋ
After I come back from Indonesia, I will prepare for the fanmeet.
Basically, (my birthday June 6) is Memorial Day which is a national holiday, I won't hold this kind of event (on the day) though...^^;;;; Still you guys might like it, and I haven't worked in Korea... I will do my best to prepare it.
You can look forward to a concert level of fanmeet..ㅋㅋㅋ
Then I am going to live quietly under the water, preparing the album.
I have a lot to show you, and I am craving to start activity (singing career).ㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Look forward to it, I will explode a bomb. ^^ Till then, don't get sick and take care of yourself.

On the first broadcast of SBS ‘Barefoot Friends‘, the cast members took some time to get to know each other. Ahead of the their first expedition, they filmed a virtual greeting to their fellow teammates, sending them to everyone on the cast list.

Hilariously, nearly everyone who watched Kim Hyun Joong‘s message had only one thing to say. “He’s really good-looking,” said Yoon Si Yoon, Eunhyuk, and Kim Bum Soo.

Kim Hyun Joong had more to say, however. “It’s been a while since I’ve promoted in Korea,” he said. “I think my unique character, which hasn’t been seen in a long time, will bring joy on Sunday nights.”

Perhaps because of his good looks, he ended up getting the most replies from the cast members to his virtual message, ahead of the cast’s departure to Vietnam.

To mark the first episode of the highly-anticipated SBS variety program ‘Barefoot Friends‘, the cast found themselves bound and their eyes covered, being transported to a mysterious location.

When they took off their eye masks, however, they were greeted with a startling sight: miles upon miles of red sand, and a desert landscape as far as the eyes can see.

After they got over their initial shock, they were given the mission to ‘live life as one of the Vietnamese natives’, along with the revelation that they were expected to live on whatever they earned through their new careers.

Although shocked at first, the cast soon warmed up to the premise. “I think it’ll be a trip to remember,” Kang Ho Dong said.

On June 5th, Kim Hyun Joong will be releasing a new single album in Japan, and impress the fans once again with by showing another side of him.

The single album will include jacket photos of 5 different concepts, and get released in limited edition, pictorial edition, and original edition.

Kim Hyun Joong released his first mini album back 'Break Down' back in June, 2011, and he has been showing his own unique musical style through songs of different genres.

Last year, Kim released two singles and one regular album in Japan, and he showed amazing power, defeating over other prominent Japanese artists in chart ranks.

Now, many music fans are growing more anticipated for his new music.

Netizens who heard the news of Kim Hyun Joong's new album release left comments, such as "I hope he will have a great year in 2013", "The return of K-Pop king!", and "I can't wait for his new album."

[News] Cast members of SBS TV ‘Barefoot Friends’ Have An Extraordinary First Meeting

The first recording for upcoming SBS TV variety show ‘Barefoot Friends’ took place earlier this month, where the cast members of Kang Ho Dong, Yoon Jong Shin, Kim Bum Soo, Kim Hyun Joong, Yoon Si Yoon, Yoo Se Yun, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk, and After School’s UEE had an extraordinary first meeting with one another that was different from the norm.
The 8 cast members got to know each other first through a computer. Each member had to record an introductory video about themselves, before sending that video through email to two other members whom they were most curious about.

Reactions from the members after seeing the videos varied greatly, as the production team explained, “The cast members kept lavishing praise on how good looking that one member was after seeing his/her video. Another video however left the members in stitches, with jokes aplenty.”

In contrast to the other members who were able to type swiftly, Kang Ho Dong who was a self-professed computer illiterate was noticeably apprehensive as he typed his email letter by letter, and left everyone in joy just by looking at him.
