Kim Hyun Joong Releases Photos from Japanese Album

A few cuts from Kim Hyun Joong′s Japanese album Unlimited have been released to shake up his fans′ hearts.

On December 14, through official press releases, Key East released a series of images from Kim Hyun Joong′s special Japanese album. The album was produced especially for the singer′s official fan club ′Henecia Japan′.

In the images, Kim Hyun Joong shows off his charismatic image. He is shown playing a guitar, or up close singing into a mike.

Some cuts also add illustrations to the photos, having them give off a unique mood. Through these photos, Kim Hyun Joong plans to show off a side of him never seen before in Korean music shows.

Netizens commented, "I thought it was a pictorial; he looks great in everything," "Look at his eyes! I′m so jealous of that guitar in his hands" and "No. 1 on the Oricon Chart and now it′s these photos! It′s like Christmas came early."

After releasing his first studio album in Japan, Unlimited, on December 12, Kim Hyun Joong managed to top the Oricon Daily Chart with a high number of sales. From January 2013 he plans to tour through 10 cities in Japan, including Kobe, Saitama, Nagoya and Fukuoka.

The new drama series City Conquest, which stars Kim Hyun Joong, will not air on any of the three major TV networks in Korea (KBS, MBC, and SBS). On December 14, a staff member from the Drama Department at KBS reported, “KBS has recently decided not to air City Conquest. Media Baek, the production company of City Conquest, recently expressed its intention to air the series on KBS. We’ve considered it from various angles, but we’ve decided that the series doesn’t suit KBS and have declined it.”

Some of officials from the broadcasting industry say, “The producers of City Conquest have also expressed their intention to air the series on MBC and SBS, but those networks have also decided not to schedule the series on their channels. The reason given is that the content and the production cost of the series are not acceptable to them. As far as we know, the shooting of the series has been stopped.”

City Conquest is an action drama series about Baek Mir (played by Kim Hyun Joong) taking revenge on the society that has ruined him and his family. The series has attracted a lot of attention because of the casting of Kim, Jung Yumi, Nam Goong Min, Kim Seung Woo, Kim Young Ho, Kim Hee Won, Park Hyo Joon, and Choi Chul Ho.

Kim Hyun Joong Holds Special Event for ‘Unlimited’ Release

Kim Hyung Joong has successfully wrapped up his album release event in Japan.

On December 11, with just one day left before he drops his first full-length Japanese album Unlimited, Kim Hyun Joong kicked off an event for his album’s release in Shibuya.

Crowds of fans were seen lining up for the event some 10 hours before its start with some fans flying in from as far away as Hokkaido.

In total, some 6,000 fans took part in his three-part event in which the singer also unveiled the full music videos for Your Story and Save Today.

The hallyu star then took to the stage to discuss the album in-depth and its creation process.

Specially invited for the event was the Japanese celebrity KABA.chan as well as Kurosawa Kazuko, of the famed female comedy trio Morisanchu, with Kurosawa Kazuko even doing a bit of the Break Down choreography on stage.

Kim Hyun Joong also took part in a press conference for the album which attracted all sorts of press outlets from Japan’s media including Fuji TV, Nihon TV and more.

Unlimited was released in Japan on December 12.

Kim Hyun Joong recently held an event in Japan in celebration of the release of his first Japanese album. On December 11, Kim arrived in Haneda Airport to attend the event, which was held at the Shibuya Public Hall a day before the album’s release. At the event, which attracted over 6,000 fans, Kim released music videos of “Your Story” and “Save Today” (songs on the album) for the first time. With his mature image and music, he received lots of favorable reviews from the fans. He also spent a good time with them, talking about the album and his life.

In a press interview that was held in the middle of the event, such major media as Fuji TV and Nippon TV asked a variety of questions about the album, and Kim answered the questions, thanking everyone for the success of the single “Heat” and for showing interest in the first album.

A media representative says, “Kim Hyun Joong is the only Korean solo artist who is currently popular in Japan from among lots of idol groups.”

Q: Is tatto your idea?

A: Yes, my idea. Although they’re not real tattoo, I feel satisfied enough to show different image I have showed before.

Q: Is there any behind story when shooting (a PV)?

A: I spent time to decide even a guitar. but I enjoyed every moment I obsessed and concidered ab everything. Also it was a memory to take a long long time to get tattoo (smile).

Q: Are those main visuals for UNLIMITED very strong?

A: I always want to show ‘new image’ to you. more than “HEAT”, I wanted to show more manly and bold image. visualized wild and artistic image for this album breaking away from the typical dance singer.

Q: Is “Break Down” included in the album, your solo debut song in Korea?

A: That’s the song I met for the first time while searching my own color. It brought a good result. It’s a special and meaningful song cuz it was released with KHJ’s name for the first time in Korea.

Q: What’s your goal as an artist?

A: I always say, I wanna have a free charity concert with all my fans from entire world. well it would be better I could have one in space. (laugh) I always dream and wish I would give a really nice concert as a gift in return for my fans love and support. I keep thinking I want to make it, even if I don’t know when that will be.
